Horseheath Community Litter Pick 2026

The Litter Pick collected 17 bags today. So grateful to live in a community that wants to keep the village clean!

The community Spring litter pick on Saturday 21st March covered all the main roads of the village and most of the A1307 through Horseheath. Thank you so much to Rachel, Niki, Mark, Stuart, Harper and Terry for all your hard work. We timed it to be within the national Great British Spring Clean campaign from the 13th-29th March.

There are a number of rubbish black spots in the Parish. One is around the laybys on the A1307. There are no litter bins so the ditches get used as bins. Sadly the footpath running north also appears to be used by drivers in the laybys, but this time as a toilet. The Parish Council has previously written to Culina asking them to request drivers not to use our facilities in this way but really we believe the only solution is to close the laybys. The other area of concern is the junction of Howards Lane and the A1307. After a recent road traffic accident the damage and detritus on Highways land is significant. We have reported this.
