The Land behind the Village Hall
The Parish Council have been busy negotiating for a change to the status of the land behind the Village Hall and Bakersfield Cottages - here is what is happening.

In 2024 the Parish Council approached the District Council about the status of the land behind the Village Hall. South Cambridgeshire District Council owns it all – right up to a metre away from the rear wall of the Hall. This meant the patio was owned by the District and the Community Association could not update it.
We are pleased to say that we have negotiated a change to these arrangements. We are putting finishing touches to the agreements now through solicitors acting for both councils. The patio and a small part of the access will be transferred in to the ownership of the Horseheath Village Community Association – as for the Village Hall. And the rest of the area will be leased to the Parish Council who will maintain it for the next 45 years.
We hope to be able to announce the completion of the deal soon!
