The proposed Kingsway Solar farm to the north of us would be the largest solar farm in Europe. The plans have now been withdrawn following comments received from the Planning Inspectorate. The developers state they will re-submit the proposal in due course.
Horseheath Village Community Association have applied for a Lottery Grant to renew the playground in front of the Village Hall. The area currently has security fencing around it but as soon as the Village hall has secured funding the new playground will be created.
The Parish Council have been busy negotiating for a change to the status of the land behind the Village Hall and Bakersfield Cottages - here is what is happening.
On Thursday 12th March we helped plant more than 1500 new trees at Horseheath as the first section of a new wood adjacent to the old farmyard.
The Litter Pick collected 17 bags today. So grateful to live in a community that wants to keep the village clean!
The Cricket Club had a great season in 2025 and are building on this success with new kit, new sponsorship and a new midweek team. A report on the 2026 season will follow shortly.
